Do you have a passion for HR administration and excel compliance to international HR regulations?
We’re seeking a HR Operations Manager / Teamlead HR Administration (m/f/d) for our location in Essen, directly reporting to the COO. This role is central to driving global strategic and operational HR initiatives and ensure flawless execution. In particular, we are active in DE, CH, AT, ES, GB, FR, BE, BG, US, CA, IN and CN.
The position offers the possibility to work remotely, but a presence in the office in Essen at least once a week is desirable.
How You’ll Provide Positive Impact
- Team Lead – Drive professional development and motivation of our global HR Administration Team (>5 employees in Germany, UK, US and India)
- Go-to Expert – Support our Leadership Team on all aspects of international HR operations, i.e. employment law, payroll and benefits-related matters as well as layoffs, contract and HR document management
- HR Administration – Oversee, manage, and continuously streamline our HR administration, including scalable HR data and document management, employee records, payroll preparation, terminations, HRIS optimization
- HR Operations Projects – Drive change initiatives due to our growing organization structure to ensure compliance with local HR regulations and company requirements, e.g. implementation of a global HRIS
- HR Process Alignment – Ensure seamless interfaces and optimized processes with other HR functions like People & Development or HR Controlling
Your Skills and Requirements
- A degree in a relevant field, ideally with a specialization in HR, complemented by a minimum of five years of significant experience in HR Operations in a global organization
- In-depth knowledge of HR best-of-breed practices, with a strong understanding of HR operations, payroll processing, tax regulations, and employment laws, in Germany; familiarity with international HR regulations is a plus
- Experience in introduction and enhancement of an HRIS solution (e.g. Workday or SAP Success Factors)
- Strong in managing relationships and collaboration with Business Leaders , Management or other HR functions, as well as external stakeholders (payroll provider, legal consultancy,…)
- A strong affinity for IT and a thorough understanding of digital processes
- Organized with a lean management approach, detail-oriented, and self-driven with a commitment to discretion and reliability
- Clear and open communication, fluent in English and German
