We are looking for a (Senior) Accountant / General Ledger Accountant / счетоводител (m/f/d) to join our international team in Bulgaria. This is a full-time position either in our office in Sofia or with remote work options available, and it’s open to candidates based in Bulgaria.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Independent processing of financial accounting for our international group companies
- Support and contact person for our own group companies
- Processing of all business transactions in financial and asset accounting, including the preparation of monthly sales tax returns
- Execution of payment runs, accruals, and provisions, as well as support in receivables management
- Active participation in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for domestic and foreign group companies
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or similar education with emphasis in Accounting, Finance, Tax or related field
- Initial professional experience in accounting, ideally in an international environment
- Knowledge of DATEV is an advantage
- Good knowledge of MS Office programs, especially Excel and Word
- Great attention to detail and organizational skills
- Very good English skills, German language skills are an advantage
